Hasbro Children’s Hospital will host its annual fundraising gala on Saturday, March 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Rhode Island Convention Center, One Sabin St., Providence. This year’s theme is Monopoly, inspired by the game from Hasbro Inc. A special Rhode Island edition of the game will be sold at the event. Festivities will include: a cocktail hour, silent and live auctions, dinner, live music and dancing. Cost: $350 per person. Junior Achievement of Rhode Island will host a community fundraising event beginning Saturday, March 22nd. The event, which will bring together more than 1,000 bowlers from more than 50 local companies, will raise money to incorporate Junior Achievement of Rhode Island’s programs into more K-12 classrooms in Rhode Island. Festivities will be held March 22-23 and March 29-30. All bowlers must participate as part of a five-person team and be at least 18 years of age. Cost: $7 per bowler (covers the cost of two hours of bowling, shoe rental and an official event t-shirt). A fundraising minimum of $100 is suggested. The National Multiple Sclerosis society of Rhode Island will host a family bike ride on Sunday, April 6 at the Narragansett Pier School, 245 South Pier Road, Narragansett. This is an easy-to-moderate ride with various riding conditions including some rolling hills. Young adult cyclists, ages 12-18, can ride the 25-mile course for free with a registered adult. The event, which will be held in conjunction with Walk MS, raises money for Rhode Islanders with multiple sclerosis and funds research to find new MS treatments and eventually a cure. Festival Ballet Providence will host their annual spring gala on Monday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Aspire at Hotel Providence, 311 Westminster St., Providence. The event will feature food, drinks, live and silent auctions and a short performance given by company members. Cost: TBA. Rhode Island Public Broadcasting Service will host a fundraising event on Saturday, April 12 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Pawtucket Armory, 172 Exchange St., Pawtucket. The event will feature wine and food pairings prepared by chefs from southern New England's top establishments and special guest chefs Bridget Lancaster and Julia Collin Davison. Susan L. Farmer, WSBE general manager and president will be honored and silent and live auctions of select boutique and collectable wines, gifts, dining and travel experiences will be available.
