If a nonprofit wants an upcoming fundraiser to be considered for a calendar listing, email information to at least four weeks in advance of the event.


Not Your Average Joe’s in Warwick will host a fundraising event on Tuesday, March 25, at 400 Bald Hill Road, Suite 475, Warwick. During the event, proceeds from the restaurant’s lunch and dinner purchases will be donated to The Rhode Island Mentoring Partnership. The partnership is the designated recipient for the restaurant’s “Not Your Average Cause” campaign for the month of March. A certificate must be shown to donate a portion of your meal to the cause. Alex and Ani in downtown Providence will host a fundraising event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26 at its 159 Weybosset St. location. Guests will be able to purchase signature Alex and Ani pieces and 15 percent of sales will benefit the Junior League of Rhode Island. The Rhode Island Hospitality Association will host its third annual “Drink Red Wear Red” event beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Providence Biltmore Hotel, 11 Dorrance St., Providence. The evening will feature performances from Nashville songwriters Phil O’Donnell and Tim James along with gourmet dinner stations, a cash bar, silent auction and dancing. A VIP reception will be held at 5:30 p.m.; music performances begin at 7 p.m.; party starts at 8 p.m. Cost: $125 per person, general admission; $175 per person, VIP access. Providence Community Library will host a fundraising event on Tuesday, April 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Knight Memorial Library, 275 Elmwood Ave., Providence. Guests of the event will be served hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and readings from children’s literature authors, including: Ed Shea, Second Story Theater; Bob Colonna, Rhode Island Shakespeare Theater; Anne Scurria, Trinity Repertory Company; and Barry Press, Living Literature. The event will raise money to help pay for the expansion of the library’s collections – especially materials for children and youth at all nine Providence Community Libraries. Cost: $100 per person. The Urban Collective Accelerated Program will host a fundraising event from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, at 75 Carpenter St., Providence. During the evening, which features cocktails, appetizers and silent and live auctions, an award presentation will be held honoring Arthur Robbins, president of Robbins Properties. AIDS Project Rhode Island and local restaurants will host the 10th annual “Dining Out for Life” event on Thursday, April 24. During the event, participating restaurants will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to AIDS Project Rhode Island to support HIV/AIDS care and prevention services.
