Begin the New Year with a burst of adrenaline from a quick dip in the winter waters of Jamestown. The second annual Jamestown First Day Plunge will be held at East Ferry. Brave souls will collect pledges for local charities before jumping in the ocean on New Year’s Day. The participant who collects the most money will be crowned emperor. Registration for the alcohol-free and family friendly event will be held at the nearby Jamestown Recreation Center prior to the plunge. Children’s activities will be offered.
