Preventure moves into new expanded facility

COVENTRY – Preventure, a corporate health and wellness provider, moved into its new 10,000 square feet facility on Nooseneck Hill Road on Feb. 25, a sign of the company’s rapid growth. Preventure was named as one of top 15 Fastest Growing Companies by Providence Business News in 2012, with more than a 200 percent increase in revenues from 2009 to 2012.
Preventure was also named as one of PBN’s Healthiest Workplaces in Rhode Island in 2012.
“The good news for Rhode Island is we are hiring,” said Preventure’s Chief Operating Officer Kathy O’Neel Webster. “We have more than doubled our workforce in the past three years and are continuing our quest to hire great employees.”
Preventure attributed its rapid growth to the increasing need for healthier employees throughout corporate America. With employer health plan costs expected to rise 6.5 percent in 2013, corporate health and wellness programs are becoming an essential piece of the benefits puzzle, company officials said.
“What we do is work upstream in the health care continuum to prevent controllable health care costs,” said Mark Correia, CEO of Preventure. “Preventure gets companies moving in the right direction – toward a healthier and more productive workforce.”
“Our mission is to impact our client’s success and improve the quality of life of each individual we touch,” said Laura Walmsley, Preventure’s chief business development officer.
