Prospect Provider Group honored by national physician association

PROVIDENCE – Prospect Provider Group of RI LLC, the independent practice association affiliated with CharterCARE Health Partners, was awarded Elite Status on the CAPG Standards of Excellence survey for 2016. PPGRI, which comprises 500 physicians and other providers, earned the award – CAPG’s highest recognition – in its first year of participation in the survey.

CAPG is the nation’s leading association of physician organizations practicing accountable, risk-based, coordinated care, according to a press release by CharterCARE. It represents more than 250 multispecialty medical groups and IPAs in 40 states. This is the fifth year in which PPGRI’s national affiliated organization, Prospect Medical Group, has been awarded Elite Status from CAPG. Prospect Medical Group received Elite Status in three states: California, Rhode Island and Texas.

The CAPG Standards of Excellence Survey is recognized as the industry standard by which the nation’s health care systems can assess their ability to deliver accountable, value-based care and improve patient care coordination, which are at the forefront of ongoing health care reform. The survey assesses a variety of value measures, including access, care management processes, quality, efficiency and affordability, all of which relate to providing optimal patient experience and value to both patients and payers.
