Providence Boys & Girls Clubs receives $10K from Verizon

The Verizon Foundation, charitable arm of Verizon Communications Inc., recently donated $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence to support the nonprofit’s Project Learn initiative.
“Verizon’s goal is to help children in the communities we serve develop the necessary skills needed to succeed in the 21st century,” said Michele Cinquegrano, Verizon regional director of public affairs. “We are proud to be partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence to provide children an opportunity to reinforce the skills they learn in school to help build successful futures.”
The Project Learn program is a national effort by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Through the program, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence offers homework help and tutoring, learning activities and other educational incentives and support.
