Providence College facilities honored

PROVIDENCE – Two of Providence College’s varsity intercollegiate athletics facilities have received national acclaim for their design and construction, according to a news release.
Ray Treacy Track at Hendricken Field, which opened in fall 2013, was named the Track & Field Facility of the Year by the American Sports Builders Association. In addition, Schneider Arena, the college’s hockey arena, was selected for Outstanding Design by American School & University magazine. Schneider Arena underwent major renovations, with an addition being completed in 2013.
