PROVIDENCE – In an effort to draw potential tenants to Providence condominiums and apartments, The Providence Foundation this month will lead a public tour of seven residential properties.
On June 27, guests will tour 333 Atwells, The 903, The Promenade, Regency Plaza, The Residences at the Westin, Waterplace and Westminster Lofts, the foundation announced earlier this month. The event, which runs from noon to 5 p.m., is co-sponsored by The Downtown Neighborhood Alliance and LiveDowncity.com.
The tour, which is free, is a way to show off the city’s “urban lifestyle” and for attendees to “discover that many properties also boast breathtaking views, modern kitchens, loft ceilings, pools, roof deck lounges, fitness centers and concierge services,” according to The Providence Foundation.
It’s also part of a marketing strategy that The Providence Foundation is kicking off to draw residents to downtown. That includes added Web information, more events and asking current downtown residents to act as “ambassadors” to those thinking about a move. Some of those current residents will be on hand on June 27 at Aspire, the restaurant at Hotel Providence, to talk with potential downtown residents.
The Providence Foundation is a nonprofit business advocacy group established to bring private-sector expertise to the development of plans, policies and projects to encourage the creation of a more vibrant downtown. It is supported by 110 of the state’s leading companies. The Providence Downtown Improvement District was established in 2005 through a partnership between the city and the business community.
