Sunday afternoon, The Providence Singers will present Franz Joseph Haydn’s “The Creation,” at Temple Emanu-El in Providence. Composed in 1797, “The Creation” was inspired by the oratorios of Handel and includes texts is derived from the book of Genesis and John Milton’s “Paradise Lost.” The story begins with a representation of chaos and ends with the union of Adam and Eve in a new and perfect world. This concert will feature guest soloists and musicians from the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra.
