PROVIDENCE – Four local startups have attracted private investment money, Mass High Tech reported Friday.
Diavibe, Manpacks, SensibleSelf and Tracelytics, all participants in the Betaspring 2010 incubator program, are in talks with angel investors and venture capital firms.
Diavibe, an early-stage medical device company that uses drug-free technology to reduce the pain of injections, is “part of the way through” a $250,000 private fundraising round, the publication said. The startup is also in the running for a $200,000 grant with Women & Infants Hospital.
SensibleSelf, maker of an ultra-thin RFID – radio frequency identification device – designed to monitor healthy behavior, received a seed investment from Boston angel investor Bill Warner.
Manpacks, a subscription service providing men’s underwear, socks, razor blades, etc., is currently in a fundraising round set for $250,000 to $300,000 and has received funds from unnamed angel investors.
Tracelytics, a Web-performance analytics startup, is in a fundraising round with Boston venture capital firm Flybridge Capital Partners, Project 11 Ventures and angel investors, Mass High Tech reported, citing sources familiar with the deal.
