Provdotnet expands into greater Boston

PROVIDENCE – As part of its regional expansion, Provdotnet LLC has secured a long-term lease for an 8,000-square-foot facility in Chelmsford in greater Boston.

Along with the lease, Provdotnet also purchased “substantial infrastructure assets” previously owned by T-Mobile including all critical power, electrical distribution and HVAC systems.
The Chelmsford data center marks the fourth data center for the company, which has three other data centers in Providence. Provdotne also has a data center in greater Chicago managed through Provdotnet’s partnership with a local facility.
Provdotnet’s CEO and Managing Partner Ron Sacks said in a news release that he expects the Chelmsford facility to be ready this month for customers, and that it will help the company improve business.
“This represents a major commitment to the future of our business,” Sacks said.
