The third annual President’s Pursuit of Excellence Dinner was hosted recently by the Rhode Island Hospital Foundation, raising nearly $300,000 to support Rhode Island Hospital’s Operational Excellence program.
“We have been working very hard to improve communication and to educate our staff on best practices; this includes an Operational Excellence program,” said Dr. Timothy J. Babineau, president and CEO of Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. “We want our patients and their families to feel safe, supported and cared for, and Operational Excellence is just one tool we are using to help reach this goal.”
During the dinner, the foundation also recognized four individual, corporate and community champions for their commitment to Rhode Island Hospital.
“I am humbled by the support we receive, and by the selfless acts of our individual, corporate and community champions,” Babineau continued. “Their vision and support make it possible for us to provide the high-quality care that Rhode Islanders receive each day.” &#8226
