RBS Citizens announces second-gen app

PROVIDENCE – RBS Citizens announced the launch of its second-generation corporate mobile banking application, accessMOBILE, according to a Sept. 25 announcement from the bank.
RBS Citizens is one of the first commercial banks in the U.S. to offer a mobile banking app that allows users to deposit a check remotely through a system that is integrated with their other cash management systems, according to the bank.
The app also allows users to initiate wire transfers from templates. The app is for iPad and Android devices, as well as Web-enabled mobile devices such as Blackberry and Windows Phone.
“This new release of accessMOBILE shifts functionality from information to action-oriented use and is an important part of our continued investment in the latest technology that helps our customers to manage their finances,” said James Gifas, head of RBS Citizens Treasury Solutions. “Our customers tell us that they want to be as productive and efficient as possible wherever they are – in the office or on the road.”
