RBS Citizens Financial Group Inc. recently marked international Customer Service Week, held in the first week of October, by announcing the donation of meals for 100,000 families in honor of the customers of Citizens Bank, Charter One and RBS Citizens.
Donations were made to 16 food banks across RBS Citizens’ footprint. In Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank received a $7,500 donation. The donations come as part of the bank’s broader “Customer Experience Week” initiative, which is focused on thanking customers and recognizing colleagues for their commitment to customers.
“At Citizens Bank, we are committed to the well-being of our customers and the communities we serve,” said Kathy O’Donnell, head of public affairs, RBS Citizens Financial Group. “With the holiday season fast approaching, this donation is our way of saying ‘thank you’ and providing some extra help to our neighbors in need.”
In addition to honoring its customers with donations to local food banks, bank executives will visit with customers and colleagues in branches and at their companies to thank them for their business. •
