PROVIDENCE – Estate planning, business agreements, trusts and retirement for farm families are topics to be covered in a March 25 workshop at the University of Rhode Island’s East Farm, according to a press release. The workshop is sponsored by URI and the R.I. Department of Environmental Management.

Speakers include David Sullivan, tax administrator for the R.I. Division of Taxation, who will address estate and capital gains taxes; Bob Parsons, extension specialist with the University of Vermont, and expert on estate and succession planning; and Kathy Ruhf, interim executive director of Land for Good, an expert on farm succession and tenure.

URI’s East Farm is on Route 108 in South Kingstown. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
