RIC seeks nominations for 2012 alumni awards

PROVIDENCE – Faculty, staff and alumni are invited to submit nominations for the Rhode Island College 2012 Alumni Awards.
Sponsored by the college’s alumni association, six different awards recognize outstanding faculty, staff, alumni and members of the community at-large.
Candidates are chosen on the basis of professional achievement, community service and service to the college or alumni association. The awards are: Alumna/Alumnus of the Year; Alumni Faculty Award, Charles B. Willard Achievement Award, Alumni Staff Award, Alumni Service Award and Young Alumni Award.
The awards will be presented in May at an annual dinner open to the public. The process is confidential and individuals should not be informed of their nominations. Deadline for submission of nominations is Dec. 15 and should be sent to the Alumni Office. &#8226
