RISLA launches Web portal for student jobs

PROVIDENCE – The R.I. Student Loan Authority, the Association of Independence Colleges and Universities of Rhode Island and Gov. Lincoln D. Chafee, along with the R.I. Board of Governors for Higher Education and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce have launched bRIdge, a new Web portal for student jobs.
bRIdge.jobs links college students with internship opportunities at employers throughout the state.
The web portal allows businesses to upload internships, which are then accessed by students at schools across Rhode Island.
The program is designed to connect students with internship opportunities in fields like science, technology, business, health care, design, engineering, finance and manufacturing.
The portal – bRIdge.jobs – officially launched on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at an event as Hasbro Inc.
