RI.gov nominated for awards

PROVIDENCE – Rhode Island’s official state website, www.ri.gov, was nominated for two awards in customer focus and technical excellence as part of the 10th annual Government Customer Support Excellence Awards.

The awards are presented by the Government Customer Support Community of Practice on April 14.

RI.gov did not win the awards. Judges, however, praised the website’s technical management team for being readily available to help its customer base, and called the accessibility for technical support “a rarity,” the organization said.

The website also earned the judges’ recognition for commitment to successfully manage site feedback in order to lower customer inquiry totals.
