Raimondo nominates 5 to commission

PROVIDENCE – Gov. Gina M. Raimondo has nominated five people to the R.I. Housing Resources Commission. Their appointments will require state Senate confirmation. They are: Lisa Bryer, David Caldwell, Elizabeth Fuerte, Margarita Robledo Guedes and Mathies Santos.
The commission has a mission to ensure that housing in Rhode Island remains affordable and accessible, according to Raimondo, through a statement. It is an executive department that develops plans, policies, standards and programs and provides technical assistance for housing. “Everyone in our state should have a roof over their heads because it is not only the right thing to do; it is also an investment in our future that will strengthen our economy,” Raimondo said.
Assuming they are confirmed, the nominees will take the place of departing commission members Denise Barge, Jeanne Cola, Mark Kravatz, Jonathan Reiner and Albert Valliere.
