PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, General Treasure Gina M. Raimondo and the Capital Good Fund are looking at ways to expand financial coaching in the community, according to a press release.
The work of the Rhode Island Financial Coaching Corps, which matches volunteers with residents who want to learn improved financial management, was presented during an August meeting of RISCA. The coaching program gained some new CPA volunteers.
“Rhode Island is a small state and we have an opportunity to make a big impact with this program,” said RISCPA Executive Director Robert Mancini. “Our members are talented, accomplished and committed to helping Rhode Islanders become financially empowered.”
"Members of RISCPA are already good corporate citizens and can often be found volunteering and making a difference," Raimondo said. "By joining the Financial Coaching Corps, they are growing their commitment to making our state’s economy stronger.”
