Realtors’ tournament raises $9K for groups

The Kent Washington Association of Realtors’ 22nd annual golf tournament raised $9,300 to be given to three local nonprofit organizations. Checks of $3,100 each were given to the Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center, the House of Hope CDC and the South County Habitat for Humanity.
There was an array of sponsors to contribute to the event, including seven platinum sponsors, a lunch sponsor, a dinner and contest sponsor, a cart sponsor, two hole-in-one sponsors and 22 tee sponsors. There were also more than 32 local businesses and members of the tournament’s committee who donated prizes for the raffles that were held at the event. There were 130 golfers in attendance at the tournament.
The checks were presented during the association’s annual meeting and installation, held on Oct. 15. •
