Rhode Island Free Clinic seeks VISTA participants

PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island Free Clinic, which provides health care services to uninsured, low-income adults from across Rhode Island, seeks several individuals to participate in a year of national service through VISTA.

Individuals who participate in the VISTA program, according to a release from the clinic, will gain transferrable skills in health care, business management, project planning, program development and human resources. The clinic seeks VISTA participants in these areas: patient and volunteer services, marketing and partner relations, philanthropy and health information. In some capacities, individuals who are bilingual English and Spanish are preferred, though not required. To apply, visit www.americorps.gov/about/programs/vista.asp, click “Join AmeriCorps” and select “Rhode Island” under “Choose Where To Serve.” Applications must be submitted through this AmeriCorps VISTA site. The clinic cannot accept applications directly
