Rhode Island to be site of NGA summer meeting

PROVIDENCE – Gov. Gina M. Raimondo attended the National Governor’s Association Summer Meeting in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 15, where she spoke of next year’s NGA Summer Meeting, which will be hosted in Rhode Island.

It is the first time in more than 15 years Rhode Island has been selected to host the nation’s governors.

NGA’s nine-governor executive committee picked Rhode Island for its accommodations and venue options, as well as its overall appeal. •
