Right at Home targets Providence market

OMAHA, Neb. – Right at Home, a leading franchise provider of in-home companion and personal care to seniors, has plans to expand into the Rhode Island market.
Right at Home plans an aggressive growth into the Providence market, with the city serving as a hub for statewide development. The firm has plans to open eight franchises over the next two years in the Providence region, according to Carrie Magelowitz, spokeswoman for Right at Home.
The privately held firm, which had $173 million revenues in 2010, a 27 percent increase over 2009, currently has more than 200 offices across the United States, along with operations in the United Kingdom and Brazil. Right at Home also recently entered a master franchise license agreement with an entrepreneurial group in Beijing, China.
“We are experiencing good, solid results across the spectrum in a continuing difficult economic environment,” said Allen Hager, chairman and CEO of Right at Home. Hager founded the Omaha-based firm in 1995. “Conservative projections are that this year we will collectively serve more than 25,000 clients, which indicates the tremendous need for high-quality, professional in-home senior care services across the nation and across the world,” he said.
Nearly 30 percent of Right at Home’s franchisees exceeded $1 million in sales in 2010, with its highest earning franchisee bringing in $9.4 million in only one territory, according to Magelowitz.
According to Eric Little, senior vice president of franchise development, there is an exponentially growing market for in-home senior care services, and franchise operators are draw to Right Home because of its experienced team, proprietary business tools, and exceptional support system.
