Roberts receives 2016 Credo Champion for Community Award

COVENTRY – Citizens Bank awarded Coventry resident Christina Roberts with its 2016 Credo Champion for Community Award because of her commitment to the local community.

The Credo award is part of the Citizens Helping Citizens initiative, which works to improve quality of life and economic vitality in local communities, and recognizes employees who volunteer or devote time to improving their community. The initiative specifically addresses four topics: fighting hunger, providing shelter, teaching money management and strengthening communities.

Marc Paulhus, president of Citizens Bank Rhode Island, said Roberts exemplifies “our goal to strengthen the communities where we live and work … Christina embodies Citizens’ spirit of giving and contributing back to her community.”

Established in 2007 and awarded annually, the Credo Champion for Community Award comes with a $2,500 donation to the recipient’s charity of choice. Roberts chose for her donation to be made to the MAE Organization for the Homeless.
