PROVIDENCE – Linn Foster Freedman, chair of Robinson+Cole’s Data Privacy + Security Team, has been recognized by Health Data Management as one of 50 Top Healthcare IT professionals.
Health Data Management says its 50 Top Healthcare IT Experts list recognizes “some of the guiding lights of the industry. Some have worked to advance the industry for nearly half a century, while others are newer voices who have taken on the industry’s new challenges. All are worthy of mention as a sample of those who are advancing the important work of health care IT.” Freedman is one of only four lawyers named to the list.
Freedman, who practices in data privacy and security law, and complex litigation, helps her health care clients comply with all state and federal privacy and security laws and regulations, and provides counsel related to emergency data breach response, mitigation, government investigations and litigation. She has extensive experience providing counsel to health care organizations and regional health information organizations related to the interoperability of electronic health records. She has litigated complex cases, including privacy cases and class action data breach litigation, in state, federal and appellate courts. She is the creator, editor and an active author of the Data Privacy + Security Insider blog, a frequent speaker at national conferences and a resource for media outlets on data privacy and security issues.
