Rockland, Stonehill to hold seminars for nonprofits

EASTON, Mass. – Rockland Trust and the Stonehill College Center for Nonprofit Management are teaming up once again to present their BreakFACTS workshop series for small and mid-sized nonprofits in Southeastern Massachusetts and Northern Rhode Island. The classes are designed to help charitable organizations be more resourceful by thinking creatively and strategically. It is the ninth consecutive year Stonehill has held the seminar and the second year Rockland Trust will sponsor the series.

This season’s classes promises to feature enthusiastic and knowledgeable business leaders in the local area to provide useful information to nonprofit representatives through a series of presentations spread throughout nine workshops, four of which will be hosted by Rockland Trust. In the past, about 97 percent of participants said they leave with more understanding on the topic than they previously had, a testament to the time and effort invested in tailoring each presentation that benefits nonprofit organizations.

Rockland Trust will lead several BreakFACTS sessions throughout the series, including the programs on Dec. 11, 2012, and Feb. 26 and April 23, 2013. These classes will focus on board governance, building a good team, and how to use digital technologies to raise brand awareness and to fundraise.

The monthly training programs cost $25 per session. They begin promptly at 9 a.m. and conclude at 12 p.m., with an optional networking session until 12:30 p.m. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and coffee and continental breakfast is served throughout the morning.

All workshops take place in the Brocktonian Room at the Center for Nonprofit Management at 16 Belmont St. in Easton.
