Ronald McDonald House launches food program

PROVIDENCE – CVS Caremark Corp. has donated $2,500 to Ronald McDonald House of Providence to support a healthy-eating pilot program, Healthy Eating on the Go. The program will allow families with sick children to receive healthy, quick meals and snacks.
“Ronald McDonald House of Providence is in a unique position to provide a positive influence towards healthy eating during a family’s stay by offering nutritious food at no cost to them,” said Michael Fantom, CEO of Ronald McDonald House of Providence in a statement
Eileen Howard Boone, senior vice president of corporate philanthropy and sustainability for CVS Caremark, said the grant is part of CVS’ overall vision. •
