PROVIDENCE – Marc A. Crisafulli will step down as managing partner at Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP to join the leadership team at Suffolk Construction Co. in Boston, and will be succeeded by Hinckley Allen Partner David J. Rubin.

Crisafulli first joined Hinckley Allen as a partner in 2006 before becoming chairman of the firm’s corporate and business law group and later assuming the managing partnership, which he has held since 2011.

During his tenure, Hinckley Allen opened two offices in New York, attracted a number of lateral partners and received honors including recognition in Providence Business News’ “Best Places to Work” awards program.

Prior to Hinckley Allen, Crisafulli served as senior vice president of the gaming division at GTECH Holdings Corp. and as an associate and partner at Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP, then Edwards & Angell LLP.

“Marc’s leadership over the past three years – a challenging cycle for many in the legal industry – has positioned Hinckley Allen as a larger, stronger and better-prepared firm than ever before in our 107-year history,” said Rubin in a statement. “I’m excited to build off those recent achievements to continue Hinckley Allen’s success.”

Rubin has been an attorney at Hinckley Allen for more than 28 years and a partner of the firm for more than 24 years. As chair of the firm’s real estate practice group for the past 11 years, he has built a national practice in commercial real estate and finance, Hinckley Allen said, representing developers, retailers, construction companies and financial institutions.

Rubin received his J.D. from Boston College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

As managing partner, Rubin will focus on continuing to serve the firm’s clients and aggressively recruit top talent while working closely with Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer Charles R. Reppucci to oversee day-to-day operations at the firm.
