WASHINGTON – Small businesses in Rhode Island still working to bounce back from damage from Hurricane Sandy can get assistance at a business continuity and disaster recovery planning workshop in Warwick on Sept. 13, sponsored by SCORE.
Seminars and roundtable discussions led by small business mentors will assist Rhode Island businesses in accessing available resources.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and when they struggle to succeed, we all struggle,” said SCORE CEO Ken Yancey. “By getting them the resources they still very much need, we are aiming to speed up their recovery time so that they can get back to normal operations and business as usual.”
The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the Centerville Conference Center at 875 Centerville Road in Building 2 in Warwick.
In addition to assisting with storm recovery, the free workshop is one of several in storm-damaged states that will assist businesses in preparing for future natural disasters.
