PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island chapter of SCORE provided services to 525 local entrepreneurs during the past fiscal year, an increase of six percent over the previous year, according to SCORE, which provide mentoring and workshops for small businesses.
“RISCORE continues to expand its role as a trusted mentor to the Rhode Island business community,” Chapter Chairman George Hemond. “Our volunteers donated 1,800 hours in fiscal year 2013 to help their clients with small business needs.”
Rhode Island SCORE present 50 seminars and workshops during the past fiscal year and opened a new office in Lincoln at the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce.
The chapter offered online mentoring to 475 new clients during the past year, and the organization gained nine new volunteers.
