MIDDLETOWN – The Naval Undersea Warfare Center has awarded Systems Engineering Associates Corp. a five-year, $7 million contract for services rendered in support of its Weapons Analysis Facility. This latest contract comes in addition to a three-year, $30 million contract that SEA Corp. was given by NUWC in June to support its Electromagnetic Department.
The activities covered by the new contract include: research and development, system/process/software engineering, modeling, simulation and analysis, system design documentation, technical data support, development, programming and network support. The Weapons Analysis Facility is part of NUWC’s Undersea Warfare Weapons, Vehicles and Defensive Systems Department.
SEA Corp. is the prime contractor on the support services, and is expected to coordinate with subcontractors that include Mikel, Raytheon BBN Technologies and Predicate Logic.
“SEA Corp. is enthusiastic about the opportunity to expand our support to NUWC in the Undersea Vehicles Simulation and Analysis Branch,” said Dave Cadorette, SEA CORP’s vice president for business development, in prepare remarks.
According to a release issued by SEA Corp., the work the contract represents is new to the Middletown-based software and systems analysis company. Founded in 1981, SEA Corp. currently employs roughly 360 engineers, scientists, technicians and management support personnel.
