SEED provides assistance for six more loans

TAUNTON – The South Eastern Economic Development Corp., a nonprofit organization that makes loans to aid small businesses, has announced another series of successful loans.

Small Business Administration 504 loans that SEED has recently assisted on include:

  • Dharma Ink, Easton, Mass.: Project Total: $400,000, 504 Loan: $168,000 for land & building purchase.

  • XYZ Sheet Metal Inc., Abington, Mass.: Project Total: $555,000, 504 Loan: $232,000 for land & building purchase

  • Scituate Boat Works, Scituate, Mass.: Project Total: $510,000, 504 Loan: $220,000, for building construction & equipment

  • Eaton Chiropractic, Inc., Taunton: Project Total: $400,000, 504 Loan: $167,000, for land & building purchase & construction

  • Attwater LLC, Newport: Project Total: $1,500,000, 504 Loan: $474,000, for land & building purchase

  • Dowd Plumbing, LLC, Stoughton, Mass.: Project Total: $299,900, 504 Loan: $127,000, for land & building purchase

    This year, SEED has made 134 small business loans totaling $40.2 million, has leveraged over $50 million in financing and assisted in creating 688 jobs.

    SEED also provides business assistance and works with other economic development organizations and financing institutions in the region to ensure that individuals who are committed to owning and operating a small business are able to obtain the assistance they need to be successful.
