NEWPORT – Students, faculty, staff and administrators from Salve Regina University will celebrate the grand opening of the school’s 12,000-square-foot Center for Adult Education on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
The center’s grand opening will feature remarks by Salve President Jane Gerety, Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian and Salve Board of Trustees Chairman Janet Robinson. After the speeches, refreshments and tours will be offered.
An information session for current and prospective students, which will include demonstrations of on-site technology as well as information about the school’s graduate and continuing education programs, will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Located at 144 Metro Center Blvd. in Warwick, the new facility offers graduate and continuing-education courses and replaced Salve’s former extension facility in Pawtucket, which ceased operations in August.
