Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre hires Oliver Dow as new managing director

PAWTUCKET – The nonprofit Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre has hired Oliver Dow, most recently capital campaign manager for the Altantic Theater Company in New York City, as managing director, effective Nov. 5.
Dow, who has more than 15 years of experience in professional theater, replaces David M. Wax, who is leaving for health reasons after 2½ years in the post.
“We had many worthy applicants for this position but felt confident that Oliver’s experience made him the right choice to lead our theater,” said Leon Boghossian III, president of the Gamm’s Board of Directors. “On behalf of the board, we are so excited to have Oliver as our new managing director and look forward to working with him and taking The Gamm to even greater heights.”
Gamm Artistic Director Tony Estrella added that Dow is a “proven leader” who can help the theater navigate “strategic challenges” and “usher in our next phase of development.”
Dow also has served as executive director of The LAByrinth Theater Company in New York, where he partnered with artistic directors John Ortiz and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, and as managing director at The New Group with Artistic Director Scott Elliott.
Dow’s commercial producing credits include “Barefoot in the Park” on Broadway and “Jesus Hopped the A Train” in London’s West End.
Chairman of the Board for the Amoralists Theater Company, Dow holds a B.F.A. in drama from New York University.
