Santander Bank offering card

BOSTON – Santander Bank N.A. introduced its first credit card in the U.S., the Santander Bravo Master Card, on Feb. 5, the bank announced. It is the first card introduced since the rebranding of Sovereign Bank to Santander in October. The rewards card offers triple points for every dollar spent at gas stations, supermarkets and restaurants.
“This card gives consumers exactly what they want – more points, more convenience and more options,” said Euan Campbell, Santander’s head of credit cards. “We’re extremely proud of Bravo. As one of the most generous rewards programs in the industry, as well as being one of the easiest to understand, it’s exactly the kind of value Santander wants to deliver to our customers.”
Points accumulated on the Bravo credit card do not expire and cardholders have the option of exchanging points for cash, airline tickets or merchant gift cards. Every 10,000 points is equivalent to $100.
The card has an annual fee of $49 dollars, which will be waived for cardholders who apply by March 31.
