Santander launches new mobile app to keep customers informed

BOSTON – Santander Bank last week launched a new business banking app, designed to keep customers better informed about their finances.
The app was created specifically for business banking customers, allowing users to use mobile devices to deposit up to $15,000 each day, according to the announcement. It also includes such features as fingerprint log-in and “Quick Balance,” which allows customers to check balances without signing in.
“We are investing more resources in our digital platform to accommodate the growing number of customers who prefer to do their banking online or on their mobile devices,” said Michael Cleary, head of consumer and business banking at Santander. “Our customers lead busy lives and part of delivering a great customer experience includes giving them options. These customer-focused innovations ensure that making deposits, checking multiple account balances and managing your business’ finances with Santander is quicker and more effortless than ever before.”
The app was piloted with nearly 250 business customers in July, according to the bank, which reports more than 95 percent of respondents said they were satisfied or very satisfied with the app. More than 90 percent of respondents said they would recommend it to another business owner.
Santander, based in Boston, is a subsidiary of the Spanish company Banco Santander SA.
