Savings Institute donates to VNS program

PORTSMOUTH – The Willimantic, Conn.-based Savings Institute Bank & Trust has donated $3,000 to the Maternal and Child Health Program at VNS of Newport and Bristol Counties.
The donation will help cover the cost to coordinate the program, which provides free, voluntary, confidential home visits to pregnant women and families with young children, birth to age three.
The VNS coverage area includes the towns of Barrington, Bristol, East Providence, Jamestown, Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, Tiverton and Warren.
