PROVIDENCE – Scandia has acquired Mindfly, a Web development company in Bellingham, Wash., for an undisclosed sum.
“We are thrilled to be growing our team. They bring experience, and the same professionalism and knowledge to clients that we currently do. And, having the West Coast location will bring even more opportunities to us,” Nik Wahlberg, president/CEO of Scandia, said in a statement.
Scandia said in a news release that it plans to retain Mindfly’s five employees, and said the acquisition will help the company expand its reach and experience in other industries. Mindfly focuses on specialty product manufacturers and consumables producers.
Founded in 2008, Scandia provides business application services such as custom Web and mobile apps, e-commerce solutions and content management.
Scandia’s current client base includes the financial, health care and retail sectors. The acquisition will bring the total number of employees between the two companies to approximately 10, a spokeswoman said.
