Why did you select your profession?

I was recruited at a URI job fair by Starkweather and Shepley and offered a great opportunity for a career with the company.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever been given?

You need to show up every day prepared to do your best work.

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?

Hard work and perseverance pays off in the end.

What is your favorite Rhode Island escape or hobby?

My favorite hobby is managing/playing on a baseball team in the Rhode Island Men’s Senior Baseball League. It’s an 18 and older, wooden-bat, hardball league and we play all over Rhode Island.

What one thing in your professional life would you like a do-over on?

A few years ago I began mentoring youth at Central Falls High School, and wish I had started this gratifying experience sooner. •
