Sensata Technologies acquires DeltaTech Controls

ATTLEBORO – Sensata Technologies Holding N.V. has agreed to acquire global electronic controls manufacturer DeltaTech Controls for $190 million.
DeltaTech, a subsidiary of CoActive Technologies headquartered in Berlin, specializes in customized controls based on magnetic position-sensing technology for construction, agriculture and other industries. DeltaTech Controls has design and sales offices in the United States, Germany, France, Japan, China and South Korea, with manufacturing facilities in Mexico, Poland and China.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of the third quarter, subject to regulatory approval. Following the acquisition, DeltaTech will be integrated into Sensata’s heavy vehicle and off-road business within the company’s global sensors business unit.
“DeltaTech Controls is well-aligned to our core business and expands Sensata’s ability to grow content beyond automotive with key new and existing customers in the heavy vehicle and off-road market,” said Martha Sullivan, president and CEO of Sensata Technologies, which manufactures sensors, controls and power-management products.
DeltaTech is expected to achieve $125 million in revenue this year.
