Sound is in session

Providence Inner City Arts and Roots Cultural Center will present Providence’s annual music block party, Sound Session, Thursday through Sunday. The session features live music performed on two stages, plus a community parade, children’s activities and hands-on workshops with guest musicians. Performances feature an array of genres and will be help primarily during afternoon and evening hours. Highlights include The Agents, a nationally acclaimed band that blends ska, reggae and swing with a high-energy horn section, Akwaaba, a West African drumming ensemble and The Silks.
