WARWICK – Southwest Airlines has added seasonal non-stop service to Ft. Meyers, Fla. and West Palm Beach, Fla. from T.F. Green Airport starting on Thursday, Feb. 14.
The R.I. Airport Corporation, which announced the news Wednesday, said the seasonal service to Fort Meyers returned for a second consecutive year after enjoying “overwhelming popularity in 2012.” This will be the first year PVD airport travelers will be offered non-stop service to West Palm Beach.
Southwest will offer one daily roundtrip flight to each sunny location from Valentine’s Day to April 13. With the new additions, Southwest will offer a total of 10 daily nonstop flights from T.F. Green to four Florida airports: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Meyers, Orlando and Tampa.
From Feb. 14 to March 8, nonstop flights will depart from T.F. Green to West Palm Beach at 7:35 a.m. Flights will return from West Palm’s PBI airport at 7:25 p.m., arriving at 10:20 p.m. On March 8, flights from T.F. Green will change, departing from the airport at 10:30 a.m. and arriving in West Palm a 1:35 p.m. Flights from the Florida airport will depart at 2:50 p.m., arriving at 5:45 p.m. in Warwick.
Between Feb. 14 and March 8, flights from T.F. Green to Fort Meyer’s RSW airport will depart at 2:05 p.m. and arrive at 5:25 p.m. Flights from the Florida airport to Rhode Island will depart at 1:45 p.m. and arrive at 4:35 p.m. On March 8, flight times will change. Passengers traveling nonstop to Ft. Meyers will depart T.F. Green at 7:10 a.m. and arrive at 10:45 a.m. Travelers leaving Florida will depart at 8:15 p.m. and arrive in T.F. Green at 11:15 p.m.
Southwest’s nonstop seasonal service will run out of T.F. Green from Feb. 14 to April 13.
