Speidel, Homefront team for program

CRANSTON – Speidel, the Cranston-based brand of watchbands and identification bracelets, has formed a partnership through its “Change a Band, Change a Life” program with Operation Homefront, the national nonprofit dedicated to providing emergency financial and other assistance to military families.
The program is designed to recognize the men and women in the Armed Forces by supporting, honoring, and meeting the needs of current and former members of the U.S. military and their families by having a portion of all proceeds of any Speidel product sold nationwide go toward Operation Homefront’s mission.
“Every time the consumer thinks about changing their watchband they will directly contribute to changing the lives of our military heroes and their families,” said Gennaro Cerce, co-owner of Speidel, in a statement. “This is a way to say thank you to our troops for their service, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to our country.”
In statement, Operation Homefront president and CEO Jim Knotts said the organization was “grateful” for Speidel’s commitment and support.
“It is because of donations like theirs that our heroes know that someone is looking out for them and their families,” he said.
Speidel was founded in 1904. Their products can be found at independent jewelers and mass retailers across the United States.
