Spielo signs deals with Manitoba Lotteries

MONCTON, Canada – Spielo International, an affiliate of GTECH Corp., signed a contract to provide Manitoba Lotteries with new video lottery terminals and games. Spielo also signed a five-year contract to provide its Intelligen central system to the Manitoba Lotteries.
Spielo was chosen as one of three video lottery terminal vendors after the Manitoba Lotteries decided to implement a multi-year vendor platform in its distributed network.
According to a company release, this contract represents Spielo International’s firm video lottery terminal present in the province.

In late 2012, Spielo will provide roughly 2,000 prodiGi Vu terminals and associated games throughout the Manitoba providence.

The company will provide two game refreshments of two games each in 2013 and 2014 for a total of 12 games. The contract includes an option to purchase additional game refreshments.

“The award in Manitoba is an important achievement for our company. Of the lotteries in Canada offering programs, Spielo International now counts all of them as machine customers,” Walter Bugno, president and CEO of Spielo International, said in a statement.

According to a release, the system is expected to be installed late this year, and the contract may be extended for up to an additional five years.
