Starkweather & Shepley boosts sales thanks to Marketo partnership

EAST PROVIDENCE – The Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage Inc. partnership with California-based Marketo Inc. has helped boost sales for the company this year.
Starkweather & Shepley of East Providence received a “Transformer” award from the marketing company for realizing the greatest improvement while using the company’s new marketing tools, according to a press release.
The insurance brokerage, which started using the Marketo platform in January 2016, says it has the potential to grow new business revenue by 10-15 percent, attributable to the new services. The marketing platform is designed to help clients better prepare for uncertainty through personalized, practical content related to life’s unexpected situations, according to the release.
“We never thought that something as simple as sending out a newsletter to prospects or a survey to customers would generate business, but we’re closing deals thanks to the engagement we’re driving,” said Stefan Petrella, marketing and advertising director at Starkweather & Shepley. “Marketo makes it possible for Starkweather and Shepley to continue to put clients first by having ongoing conversations that lead to deeper relationships and ultimately more revenue.”
Starkweather & Shepley bills itself as the 69th largest insurance brokerage in the United States. It provides services in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida.
