Why did you select your profession?

It’s in my blood! It’s safe to say I was destined for my profession when my mom was called into my school because I wore too many bracelets to kindergarten.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever been given?

When building a business and team, surround yourself with people you like, trust and, most importantly, whose opinions you deeply respect.

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?

Trust your instinct more, and slow down and enjoy the moment.

What is your favorite escape or hobby?

The beach and my gym are my sanctuaries.

How do you keep a work-life balance?

It has also taken me 10 years and the birth of my son to realize there is no place in my bedroom for a BlackBerry.

What one thing in your professional life would you like a do-over on?

Nothing. I have made my fair share of mistakes and bad decisions, believe me, but the lessons have always been priceless! •
