PROVIDENCE – StepStone Hospitality, a Rhode Island-based hospitality management company, has added four new managed properties to its portfolio in the past three months that has so far resulted in three new jobs here.
“We are proud of our growing portfolio and the fact that we have doubled the number of managed hotels during the past few months,” said Thomas Russo, chairman and CEO, in a statement.
The company has hired in Providence a regional director of revenue management, a regional director of accounting, and is about to hire an analyst.
It also has promoted its director of operations and director of human resources to vice president positions in anticipation of adding positions below them to support the hotel’s growing portfolio, according to Shelley Schmeck, the company’s spokesperson.
The four properties have doubled the company’s portfolio. StepStone plans, according to a release, to add three additional managed hotels within the next two months and additional hotels in the near future.
The new managed hotels include 74 State Hotel in Albany, New York; New Orleans Marriott Metairie at Lakeway; Courtyard Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach; and Courtyard Marriott Columbia Downtown USC.
StepStone also manages Doubletree Sawgrass Mills-Sunrise in Florida; Hampton Inn Boston-Braintree; Minneapolis Marriott Northwest; and Springhill Suites Boston-Peabody.
The company was founded in 2007 and specializes in full-service and select-service hotel and restaurant operations.
