DUBLIN, N.H. – The Sunnyside restaurant in Warren was named Rhode Island’s best breakfast spot by Yankee Magazine.

The Dublin, N.H.-based publication chose the six best breakfast spots in New England – one from each state – for its March/April issue.

“The Sunnyside is a breakfast-and-lunch-only spot, more elegant than most, specializing in classics with a spin: wood-grilled flank steak and eggs, buttermilk soufflé pancakes, baked raisin bread French toast,” said Yankee reporter Jocelyn Ruggiero.

The six breakfast spots to make the list were:

  • The Sunnyside - 267 Water St., Warren, R.I. 401-247-1200; sunnysideri.com
  • Morse’s Kraut House - 3856 Washington Road (Route 220), North Waldoboro, Maine. 866-832-5569; morsessauerkraut.com

  • Sofra Bakery & Café - 1 Belmont St., Cambridge, Mass. 617-661-3161; sofrabakery.com

  • O’Rourke’s Diner - 728 Main St., Middletown, Conn. 860-346-6101; orourkesmiddletown.com

  • The Friendly Toast - 113 Congress St., Portsmouth, N.H. 603-430-2154; thefriendlytoast.net
