CHERRY HILL, N.J. – TD Bank has launched Popmoney for person-to-person payments using an email address or mobile phone number, according to a March 18 announcement from the bank.
Popmoney is being offered in partnership with Fiserv to complement TD Bank’s online banking tools.
The bank is also launched external transfer services to allow customers to transfer funds to or from accounts outside of TD Bank.
“Customers want services that make banking easier for them,” said Rizwan Khalfan, TD Bank’s senior vice president for digital channels.“Secure ways to manage their money online is increasingly important to people and these services help meet the needs of their on-the-go lifestyles.”
TD Bank customers must have a U.S. address, phone number, social security number and valid email address to use the services.
